I do not intend to insult or hurt anyone with this "epistle" but just feel moved to write it! To many of us citizens of the USA, the election results are not really a puzzle as they are to the liberal news media. How and why did this "republican revolution" happen? Why did the "hated Christian right wingers" turn out for Republicans, while much of the Democrat base stayed home? Choose from just some of these:

1. Citizens were tired of democrat scandals, Florida elections, NJ Supreme Court, Democrats primary goal to get Jeb Bush, tying the President's and House's bills and judges bills up in committees, etc., etc. WE TOOK A HOT MORAL BATH TRYING TO WASH OFF ALL THIS STUFF.

2. Citizens were tired of Bush getting blamed by Demos for Enron and other business scandals, the economy, not catching Ben Laden, being an illegitimate President, picking on poor Iraq, North Korea and Iran (axis of evil!?), etc., etc. If Clinton/Gore had done their job we would not have had Sept.11 and all the corruption started with them and lasted 8 years: We all know that! The moral bath continues.

3. Who said CHARACTER DOESN'T MATTER! We rest that case! Citizens see "W" as a good man of character, ethical with a plan, LEADERSHIP!

4. Citizens are tired of seeing the House pass bill after bill that would be good for us (mostly) only to see Tom Daschle on TV whining, complaining, blaming, and keeping the bill and the GOOD JUDGES in committee; Gephart too---he is history!

5. Citizens are for positive people in government like JC Watts (he will be back), Dick Army (replaced by a good Texan), "W" of course, Colin Powell, C. Rice, Elizabeth Dole, Dick Cheney, as opposed to Ted Kennedy, Tom Daschle, R. Gephart, Barney Frank, etc., etc.

6. Most citizens are tired of bad laws such as: partial birth abortion (abortion of any kind), marriage penalty law, inheritance tax law, extremely high taxes, and we are tired of the United Nations. I could care less what France thinks about our policy concerning Iraq. These cowards would be speaking German several times if not for the bravery of the United States.

7. Did you know that there were election observers from Russia and_____(I forget what other country), observing the way we conduct ourselves voting, looking for voter fraud??? What?? Russia and another country who do not have the slightest idea what we are about?? Wonder where this came from?

8. Most citizens realize that the news media is very liberal (94%) as are their polls, yet the democrats and some republicans seem to live by them. We inherited this from Clinton/Gore at least to this extent. We did not think their polls were correct because they ask the wrong questions! Listen to Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity, they told us the conservatives would win.

9. Many citizens were appalled to see the faces of Bill Clinton and Al Gore campaigning in South Florida for Bush's opponent and the Dems. Did you see Al Gore say during a speech, "I always thought the person who got the most votes won the election, especially if he had done a perfect job as the #2 person---he got moved up"! Duh, Al! Even in Mississippi where I grew up they taught us about the Electoral College which is designed to prevent mob rule. Hillary doesn't get this either. And these people are supposed to be intellectuals! Well that is enough.

I am just an average Mississippian saved by God's Grace. Us average folk understood what was at stake, and we voted.
