RE:  QDP Corporation

Please accept this letter as a recommendation for the software and services of QDP Corporation.

My company was incorporated in 1995.  In searching for software to support our business I spoke with several distributors and suppliers in our industry.  The name of QDP and John Gardner were the names I heard repeatedly.

I contacted John and he immediately sent me a demo version of his software.  My staff, though all new, found his software easy to implement.  Their instruction manual was also easy to understand and "user friendly."  As with the installation and use of any new software, questions will arise and follow-up customer support is critical.  Any time we needed help QDP's staff was very helpful, friendly, and able to answer our questions immediately.

As our company grew we looked for a more "advanced" software system that would support and integrate more of our company's functions.  We purchased a software system from a new vendor that purported to integrate all the functions we needed.  We also paid for on-site training by the software provider.  It was not until after the "orchestrated" training session, that we learned of the actual complexities of the software, its poor engineering, and lack of testing in a real world environment.  This new system caused daily freeze-ups and would bring our entire operation from office to warehouse to a standstill.  When we could get the system to run, it often provided information that was corrupt and inaccurate.  The customer support supplied by this company was poor at best and the "solutions" offered in many instances just compounded the problems.

My company learned the hard way that a software provider can use "smoke and mirrors" to fool the prospective customer in a training or demo environment that has no bearing as to the actual performance of the software.

After just one Fall season with this problem prone software we returned to QDP's latest version of the their software.  We found their latest version even easier to use.  It is also reassuring to know that any questions that arise are answered with a simple call to QDP's staff.

After our disastrous experience with another vendor it was nice to return to a company that you can trust and that offers software that performs as advertised.
