We have a unique combination of professions and experience
here at QDP.
QDP has two Certified Consultants on the DacEasy Accounting program. In addition, we have a lawyer who specializes in small business finances.
We do not have a field sales team or a broker program to represent our products and services tot he fundraising industry. Other than the one trade show per year, our main marketing effort is in our RUNTIME mailings to our customers and prospects. We have been mailing for over a decade now and have learned a lot during that time. What is Standard Mail, the requirements, the procedures, the restrictions, the advantages and the programs designed to make it easier for you? Where do you get mailing lists and how do you know if you are getting a good one? What is the difference between renting a list and owning one/ What are the restrictions when you rent a list? How often should you mail? What should you include? How do you maximize your efforts for follow-up, keep track, and avoid wasting mail on people who have demonstrated a lack of interest. How do you get those specialty mailing people?

Which groups told you to contact them this month? Which groups will make their decision next month? You have a brochure to mail out, but is there a way to avoid sending it to people who have already told you they are not interested in that product line, or in this year? You have returned from the PTA convention with a stack of slips filled out by people who have expressed interest in your products or services. Will you remember to send them your information . . . and then a phone call follow-up? If there is no answer when you do call, do you have a system in place to keep you from letting a pre-qualified prospect fall through the cracks? You have a sales team out there with contact prospects and customers. Do you have a record of the contacts? If a group calls the office, do you have access to that customer's history or with the conversations your rep has had with that prospect? Contact management can be a powerful Sales Automation tool.
On our staff we have a doctorate, three masters and several college grads. We have taught college classes and have been adjunct faculty. One of our reps was a Middle School Assistant Principal and we have former teachers in the areas of vocal and instrumental music, math, computer science and engineering Since we have been in the classrooms, we understand how to work in classrooms. In addition, we have a healthy respect for teachers', their time and the structure they like. If your background is outside of education, we can help you see the school from the other side.
I doubt you are looking for electrical advice, but we do have an Electrical Engineer on staff. A few years ago, he helped us get a major labor contract doing some wiring on factory control units.
Most of our fundraising background is explained in Who/Why QDP. We have been fundraising since the early 80's, so if you are looking for experience, we have got it more than most. John has worked for the big company, the small company, and started his own company. We have been doing tally and prepack work since day one.
