Be a Technology Friendly Supplier

As I see it, there are four bottlenecks in fundraising. We are trying to design our products and services to address those bottlenecks.  Take a look at my description of the bottlenecks and suggestions for combining your products and ours for the distributors' advantage. RUNTIME is our promotional newsletter mailed monthly to nearly 1500 fundraising distributors nationwide.

• News and editorials about AFRDS and the fundraising industry.
• Information and updates on programs and services.
• Jokes, quotes and other interesting tidbits....
• Deals with Discounts and Deadlines. Our customers look for these, and will find your materials also when they open our envelope.
• PLUS.... information from other vendors in the industry.  We call them RUNTIME participants. It is part of our two-pronged strategy to get distributors to open the envelope:
  1. Keep enough industry news in there that, even those who do not think they need our products/services (yet) will keep reading... and
  2. You have to open the envelope because you never know whose materials might be inside.
  3. I did say two, did I not . . . but RUNTIME participants also help pay the postage.

Participant Guidelines/Procedures

1. We try to avoid including materials from competing suppliers in the same mailing. Call ahead to reserve a spot.
2. We will notify you of the number of brochures you need to send and will give you the deadline date. We normally ask for about 100 more than we intend to use, to cover shortages. Leftovers will be returned to you upon request.
3. Along with your brochure, we want to include at least one 1-2 sided information sheet that clearly identifies YOU as the mailer of the brochure. We charge per piece/per address. Tell us what you want to include and we will send you a quote.
4. We will:
   1. Make copies of your information materials, if needed.
   2. Insert or staple (our choice) your info sheet with your brochures and insert them in our envelope.
   3. Prepare and deliver the mailing to the USPS.

Web Page Advertising

As we develop and promote our web site, we will begin to invite suppliers to place news, adds or links on our site. Check back for more here.

Mailing Lists

We currently have close to 5000 names in our computer files. We communicate almost monthly with approximately 1500 active fund raising distributors. We spend a lot of time with our list and it will not be cheap. Also, we will only sell it to AFRDS supplier members. Let us know if you are interested.
